Howdy folks.



I'm a freelance copywriter who recently was assigned a project to write descriptions for a desserts company. My primary assignment is to write SEO dessert category and subcategory descriptions.



The existing copy on the site isn't bad, I'll mostly be organically adding appropriate keywords, fleshing the descriptions out, and cleaning them up overall.

The guy who hired me keeps talking about how my assignment is mostly a "SEO ploy", so while he wants it to read well, his main focus is on search results.



Now, apart from giving him the general SEO is not magic it's a long term strategy game disclaimer, how should I show him the value I'm bringing when this project is finished?
